Flower and Thorn earring

The flower is carved in 18kt gold; the inner petals are a soft, matte finish, the outer petals are high polish.  The thorn is cast and forged in blackened silver.  The post of the earring is 18kt gold with a single diamond set in the end.  The post threads through the flower, so that the diamond peaks out from the center.  The Alchemy of the Union is in the two opposites joining to create a brighter and stronger Whole.

Each earring is sold individually.  You are invited to play with how you wear them.  Thorn forward, flower present but hiding? Flower facing front and Thorn protecting from the back? A different direction on each ear to feel the balance of the polarities?
